BEFORE NEVADA Spent the 2008-09 season at Indiana University...played in 31 games and made three starts for the Hoosiers...averaged 5.9 points and 2.2 rebounds...had 37 assists and 23 steals...shot 37.3 percent from the field (66-177), 25.8 percent from three-point land (17-66) and 61.1 percent from the free throw line (33-54)...scored a season-high 14 points twice, nailing a pair of three-point field goals against Gonzaga and connecting on 6-of-9 field goal attempts against Minnesota.
HIGH SCHOOL A 2008 graduate of Ribet Academy in Los Angeles...led Artesia (Calif.) High School to a pair of state championships...earned all-state, all-C.I.F. and all-league honors...averaged 14.7 points as a junior and 13.0 points as a sophomore at Artesia...put up 12.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game as a freshman...in his final two years, helped Artesia to a 66-3 record...was coached by Scott Pera at Artesia.
PERSONAL Has not declared a major...born in February of 1990 in Pasadena, Calif....the son of Kenny and Minnette Story of Cerritos, Calif....has two brothers, Kenneth (26) and Deron (22), and one sister, Meka (11)...lists playing in his first collegiate game as his most exciting sports moment so far...enjoys jet skiing and playing video games...full name is Malik Cornell Story.
