HIGH SCHOOL A 2008 graduate of Galena High School in Reno...became the third player in Nevada prep history to be named a McDonald's All-American...earned second-team All-America honors from Parade Magazine...set the state career scoring record with 2,941 career points, breaking the mark set by Wolf Pack teammate Armon Johnson (2,616)...two-time Gatorade State Player of the Year (2007 & 2008)...three-time first-team all-state selection (2006-08)...averaged 29.9 points and 12 rebounds per game his senior year...also added 3.6 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per contest...named the Northern Nevada 4A Region Player of the Year as a junior and a senior...shared the honor with Johnson in 2007...was the High Desert League Player of the Year in 2007 and 2008...checked in at No. 3 on the Long Beach Press-Telegram's prestigious "Best of the West" team...was listed as the 24th-best player in the country by Scout.com...led Galena to the 2007 Nevada state championship...averaged 27.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game as a junior...served as a team captain in each of his last two years...coached by Tom Maurer.
