PALO ALTO, Calif. - Senior Many Russ was Nevada cross country's top finisher at the 6K Stanford Invite Saturday afternoon at the Stanford University Golf Course.

Host Stanford won the women's race while Cal, Loyola Marymount, UC Davis and Chico State rounded out the top-five.  As a team, Nevada finished 19^th out of 22 teams. 

Russ finished 80^th out of 179 runners with a 6K PR time of 23:11.  Russ beat her previous of PR 25:39 set at the Utah Invite in 2006.

Freshman Samantha Diaz established a 6K PR of 23:26 and finished 95^th.  Senior Natalia Jarawka came in 97^th with a time of 23:29.

Redshirt freshman Gloria Sosa finished 106^th (23:45) while freshman Katarina Ratkowiak finished 130^th (24:32) to round out the top five finishers for the Pack.

Freshman Nicole Painter finished 132^nd with a time of 24:53 while sophomore Christy Works came in 140^th (25:38). 

Nevada's next meet will be the WAC Preview Open hosted by the Pack on October 10 at Rancho San Rafael Park.
