Director, Annual Giving

The Intercollegiate Athletics Department at the University of Nevada is currently accepting applications for the position of Director, Annual Giving. The major function of this position is to solicit annual gifts in support of the athletics program and accompanying donor benefits/fulfillment program and construction of a volunteer program. The Director, Annual Giving, is a mid-level development position reporting directly to the Assistant Athletics Director, Development and indirectly to the Associate Athletics Director-External Operations, and is jointly evaluated by the aforementioned positions. The major function is to solicit annual gifts in support of the athletics program and accompanying donor benefits/fulfillment program and construction of a volunteer program. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and four years or a Master’s Degree and two years of fundraising experience, specifically with implementing annual fund drives and volunteer campaigns.


Assistant Athletic Trainer

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. The Assistant Athletic Trainer assists the Head Athletic Trainer in performing duties of first aid, prevention, care, rehabilitation and referral if necessary of athletic injuries and illnesses sustained by men’s and women’s Division I athletes at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). The Assistant Athletic Trainer assists the Head Athletic Trainer in performing duties of first aid, prevention, care, rehabilitation and referral if necessary of athletic injuries and illnesses sustained by men’s and women’s Division I athletes at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR).

Additional duties include: supervision of graduate and undergraduate student athletic trainers, coordination of pre-participation physicals, coordination of summer camps, insurance and physical referrals, assisting with management of budgets and inventory control. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and one year of experience (or a Master’s Degree) managing or assisting with management of athletic training facilities at the collegiate or professional level working with men’s and women’s sports programs

  • Certification by National Athletic Trainers’ Association as administered by the NATA Board of Certification
  • First aid and CPR certification
  • Maintain continuing education units as required by the NATABOC
  • Must be licensed in the State of Nevada
