At Nevada 2007-08 (Freshman): Saw action in all 33 games with one start as a true freshman...averaged 2.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 11.4 minutes per game...shot 48.1 percent from the field (26-54)...ranked sixth on the team in rebounding and paced the Wolf Pack in the category in two games...pulled down a career-best 10 rebounds Feb. 7 vs. San Jose State...also led the team with eight rebounds Jan. 26 at Louisiana Tech...scored a career-best 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field and 4-of-4 from the free throw line in the March 18 CBI game vs. Houston...added eight points and pulled down seven rebounds Feb. 23 at Southern Illinois...blocked 13 shots, including a career-best two in two games (Nov. 24 at UNLV and Dec. 19 vs. Colorado State).
High School A 2007 graduate of Christ School in Arden, N.C....earned all-state and all-conference honors in each of his last two seasons...was named the Western North Carolina Basketball Player of the Year by the Asheville Citizen Times in 2007 and was an All-WNC selection in 2006...finished his career as his school's all-time leading scoring with 1,375 points...led Christ School to 3A state championships in 2005 and 2007...averaged 19.5 points and 6.1 rebounds as a senior... Christ School turned in a 29-4 overall record in 2006-07...two-time team MVP...averaged 19 points and 9.5 points as a junior...helped the Greenies to an 18-14 record, a tie for second in the conference and a state tournament berth in 2005-06...won his team's Triple Threat weightlifting award in each of his last three seasons (squat, bench, clean)... was named the MVP of three tournaments, including the Westminster Holiday Classic in 2005 and 2006 and the Cannon Classic in 2006...lettered three times in both basketball and track and field...captained his basketball squad two years...coached by David Gaines.
