THE AAUN
The Fundraising Organization of Athletics

The Athletic Association of the University of Nevada (AAUN) is the central fundraising arm of Wolf Pack athletics and serves as the umbrella organization for all development efforts associated with University of Nevada Intercollegiate Athletics.

Established in 1947, the AAUN provides the athletic department with private financial support for scholarships, facilities, and operations by raising critically needed funds through the Pack Educational Fund and its core giving programs. Wolf Pack athletics is nearly 75% self-supported. Each year it takes several million dollars to fund our student-athletes’ educational experience, and through private support, we are better able to meet this financial commitment for over 400 student-athletes.

AAUN Membership includes over 2,000 individuals composed of University of Nevada alumni, friends, and the general northern Nevada community. We hope you will continue to embrace this mission and again join the AAUN through your annual support of the Pack Educational Fund.

Pack Educational Fund

The Pack Educational Fund is the cornerstone of the athletic program’s annual fund-raising efforts and encompasses several core giving programs: Annual Giving; Priority Seating; the AAUN Endowment Fund; Pack PAWS; Opportunity Fund, Capital Projects/Naming Rights; and Sport Specific Support Groups.

A donation to any of these programs constitutes a gift to the Pack Educational Fund and membership into the AAUN.

All Pack Educational Fund donations are used exclusively to offset the cost of educational needs of our student-athletes in the Wolf Pack Athletic Program. Scholarships are the most sought after financial award a university can offer its students. Since its inception, this Fund has raised nearly $25 million in scholarship and program support for over 3,500 student-athletes in 19 programs providing them the opportunity to attend the University of Nevada and compete for the Wolf Pack.

Annual Giving

Each year, hundreds of donors show their support of Wolf Pack athletics through an annual cash gift. While most of these gifts are the result of Priority Seating in football and men’s basketball, a growing number of supporters are choosing to give unrestricted funds to support University of Nevada Athletics generally.

Priority Seating

Certain areas in Lawlor Events Center and Mackay Stadium carry a per-seat PEF donation requirement over and above the base ticket cost. Pricing levels are determined by seat location. All season ticket holders who participate in the priority seating program automatically become members of the AAUN and the donation for men’s basketball and football are included in your cumulative annual giving and the accompanying benefit levels.

Upgrades and Additional Ticket Requests

Requests for additional tickets and/or seating upgrades must be made in writing and are due with your season ticket renewal. Changes will be made based on the priority point system. Every request is reviewed. Due to the volume of requests, it is not possible to contact every individual concerning each request. It is important to note that there is usually very little turnover in men’s basketball prime seating locations.

In the event that lower concourse seats do become available in men’s basketball to new donors, there will be a one-time fee associated with the initial selection of seats. Certain ticket considerations may vary from year to year, based on allotments and availability. All rights to seat assignments rest with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Donor Parking

PEF donors at the Coaches Club ($500) level and higher qualify for parking in the West Stadium Garage. Permits are allocated by priority point rank beginning with level one of the garage moving upward floor by floor to level six. The number of permits allocated is determined by the number of basketball season tickets held per account: 1–4 tickets held receive one individual permit, 5 – 8 tickets held receive two individual permits, etc. Due to increased parking demand, additional permits will not be allocated. A parking permit does not guarantee a parking space on its designated garage floor.

PEF donors contributing a total of $250 - $1,499 qualify for Area 1 football parking. Donors contributing a total of $1,500 or more qualify for Area 2 Football Parking. Donors who qualify for Area 2 parking permit may purchase a reserved numbered parking space in lieu of the general Area 2 permit for an additional $150. The number of is determpermits allocated ined by the number of football season tickets held per account: 1–4 tickets held receive one individual permit, 5 – 8 tickets held receive two individual permits, etc. Parking in these areas is first come, first served. A permit does not guarantee a parking space.

Priority Points System

The Pack Educational Fund priority point system is designed to appropriately reward donors and ticket holders for their financial support and season ticket purchases. This system is utilized to re-seat Lawlor Events Center every three years, determine the priority of seat upgrade requests, assign newly purchased seats and basketball parking permits, assign away game and post-season game tickets and other benefits.

• 1 point for every $100 contributed to the Pack Educational Fund- (Any cash gift – seat premium, capital gifts, endowment, sport-specific or gift in kind. Skybox lease. Includes dollars spent at official athletic fundraising events.)
• 5 points for each consecutive year of season ticket purchases (Per sport- Football, Basketball, Baseball since 1996, all other sports since 2006)**
• 25 points for lettered athletes in University of Nevada varsity sport (one time- maximum 50 pts/account )
• 25 points for being a University of Nevada Alum (one time- maximum 50pts/account)

**If season tickets for an individual sport are not renewed, then season ticket purchase points for that sport re-set to zero.

Example: Joe and Jane Donor have contributed $15,000 to the Pack Educational Fund since 1996. They have also been season ticket holders in football for 6 consecutive years and in basketball for 9 consecutive years. Jane graduated from Nevada and lettered in track and field.
